How we make money
The estimate is free and there is no account to create. We are paid when we introduce someone to a professional they asked to be introduced to: an agent, a lender, a home improvement contractor, an insurer. That is the entire business model and you should know it before you use the site.
What that changes
It changes who appears when you ask for an introduction. It does not change your valuation. The estimate is produced from federal data and your inputs by the code described on the methodology page, and no partner sees it, influences it, or pays to move it.
There is an obvious temptation in this business model to inflate estimates, because a homeowner who believes their house is worth more is more likely to talk to an agent. We do not do that, and the way to check is that every step of the arithmetic is printed on your result. If a number looks high, you can see exactly which line produced it.
What we never do
- We do not sell your details as a list. One request produces one introduction, to one professional.
- We do not put you into a call centre or hand your number to a dialler. We do not even ask for your phone number.
- We do not store your address unless you ask for an introduction. Running a valuation stores nothing at all.
- We tell you who we passed you to before they contact you.
Current partners
None yet. The site currently earns nothing. When partners are added, every one will be listed here by name, with the category and the basis on which we are paid, before any introduction is made.
What we are not
HomePropertyValues is not a licensed real estate broker, mortgage lender, mortgage broker, or appraiser, and is not licensed to give financial, tax, or legal advice in any jurisdiction. We introduce; we do not transact, and we do not advise.
Questions about any of this go to hello@homepropertyvalues.com.
