Privacy policy

The short version

Running a valuation stores nothing. Not the address, not the price you paid, not the square footage. The calculation happens and the result is returned to you. We keep no record of it.

We store your details only when you explicitly ask to be introduced to a professional, and then only your email address, what you asked about, and the estimate context so the introduction makes sense.

What is collected, and when

Using the estimator

Nothing is retained. The address field exists to place you in a market and is discarded after the response. We do not look up your parcel record, because we have no property database to look it up in.

Asking for an introduction

We store your email address, the intent (selling, refinancing, equity, renovation), the estimated value, the area, and the address text if you typed one. This is the record we use to make the introduction, and it is the only personal data we hold.

Reading the site

Two measurement tools run here and they are not equivalent, so both are named. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and builds no profile of individual visitors. Google Analytics 4 does set cookies: it writes first-party _ga and _ga_* cookies and sends usage data to Google, acting as a processor, so we can see which pages are read and how people arrive. Google Signals, advertising features and remarketing audiences are not enabled. Standard server logs, briefly, as any web server keeps. No advertising network, no retargeting pixel, no third-party ad tags. Blocking Google Analytics in your browser blocks it here and the site works normally without it.

Who else touches it

• Vercel hosts the site and provides cookieless analytics.
• Google provides Google Analytics 4, which sets the cookies described above.
• Neon provides the database holding lead records.
• SendGrid, part of Twilio, delivers email.
• The professional we introduce you to, who receives your email address and what you asked about, and only after you have asked us to.

Data is processed in the United States.

Your rights

Ask for a copy of what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to hello@homepropertyvalues.com from the address in question. There is no form and no verification hurdle. Requests are handled within 30 days and usually the same week.

Depending on where you live these may be formal rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, the UK GDPR, or the EU GDPR. They are offered here regardless.

Children

This site is for adults and no information is knowingly collected from anyone under 13.
